if you are looking to upgrade the existing engine, you can replace the cooling head with the CEN replacement. If you are looking to replace the engine altogether, there are too many engines to mention. I have see anything from Epic's .18 to Traxxas's TRX2.5 used. And of course CEN has a .18 replacement as well.

what are you looking to gain by replacing the engine..... if your looking for alot more power, I wouldn't recommend it unless you upgrade/modify the rest of the truck... If looking to go slightly larger, epic 18, cen 3.0 or O.S. 18 are pretty much drop in... I have a feeling the O.S. may be too much for the truck...
My main question is why... Are you looking for more speed or more torque? It makes a differrence as to what engine to get....

Don't even bother... He's running a menace which is almost 2 times faster than the mt2.... Its a stadium truck running a 21 engine and a 3 speed tranny and weighs a good deal less...
Just so you know, you have one of the fastest mt made... not too much faster or quicker out there from anyone else.....
remember... mt2 weighs about 7 lbs goes 45 mph easy... Schumacher menace goes about 70 mph weighs 4-5 lbs.... do the math....

Madmark, I've raced nitro rustlers with my mt2 and it was interesting.... On the flats the rustler would be faster, but on anything with ruts or jumps or even turns... the mt2 was better... now picture a truck that is a good 20 mph faster than the rustler... unless your bashing............
