CEN, I was wondering if you could help me out. I have just installed a new pullstart on the nt16 engine. Went out today to start the car up and the cord did not retract when pulled. Furthermore the engine did not seem to be turning over either. Does this mean that the one way bearing needs replacing? The pullstart is brand new and installed correctly. Any suggestions?

flip over the one way bearing... you have it in backwards.... I've done the same thing and what you are describing is exactly what happens.............

I ordered my pullstart from the LHS. Irvine, who are the distributors for CEN in the UK, pretty much always keep these in stock. Contact your local store and get them to order one for you, it normally takes about a week depending on how often your LHS takes deliveries from Irvine. There are a few online stores in the UK but I normally prefer to deal with shops in person.
