Default help with my mt2 engine(nt 16)

Ok I've had a cen funfactor monster truck sitting here taking up space. I put it back together and and fired her up. It started on the third pull and bench ran for a while. then it just won't start. Compression seems low but it still started. I set all settings to factory and changed glow plug.Checked charger was working. Now I got one popeye arm from pulling the dang thing. What else can I do.

I got it running again but it revs very slowly. If I put the revs down it stalls. Is it to rich?

One thing I notice sometimes with the NT16 is that you need to raise the idle speed on the transmitter trim to get it started. Once it has warmed up it can be lowered again but it seems to depend on weather conditions. Might be worth a try though.

cenmt2,

Has your fuel been sitting around for a while? Fuel actually can go bad. If you haven't tryed new fuel try that.

Thanks for trying to help in this matter. The fuel is new and I do set the revs quite high. I have not tried to run it properly(in the field) except on the bench. I ran it again today and it started quite easily (3-4 pulls) It still revs quite slowly though but it runs[&o]. I will run it on the weekend and see if its ok. I am also thinking of replacing the engine anyways. Thanks again for the helpful suggestions

Is the motor completley broken in yet if not it will not run very good until it is. You may be a little rich on the low end or the motor might have an air leak. If the motor is still under waranty try contacting CEN and see if they have any suggestions or if they can repair it or replace it.
