Bashing my new 3rd generation genny this morning and suddenly when pressing the trigger engine reves, pinion and spur gear rotate, but truck is not moving.
Spur and pinion gears are fine.
When truck is on the ground and putting a finger tip on the spur gear, I feel no restistance when moving truck forward and only little resistance when moving truck backwards.
Anyone experienced this before and what could be the reason ?
Could the transmission be broken ?
Any input appreciated, thanks in advance

Dear SejR/C
Thank you for choosing CEN Racing. It sounds like the center tranny is the highest possibility for the cause of the problem. Please open up the center transmission and see if any gear inside are damaged. This is usually resulted from foward/reverse motions.

Before you open your center trans, check the grub screw.......... front and rear... this a very big problem and very easy to fix, use red loctite and you will never have this problem again

Hi abonnet!
You will find the grub screw at the rear diff and at the front diff. It's a 5mm screw that sits on the drive cup at the rear and on the Universal Joint Ball at the front.
Check this 2 addresses and you will see a screw. It is more like a "set screw" you can't miss them on the pics.
Loctite them and you will never have problem with them again.

Hello Jadda,
Thank you very much for such a detailed description. I'll look into it today... better to be proactive than reactive (especially when you are having fun)
