Hey Everybody,
You know, I've been looking all over this forum for a few days and I've noticed some pics of some sick CEN rides in here. I'd really like to post pics of you, and your CEN vehicles along with pics of you yourself (provided that you're at least moderately photogenic
) on the CEN website in our consumer rides section. If you're interested Email a pic (or two) of your car/cars, along with a brief description of their upgrades, and any exciting stories that you'd like to share with those visiting our site to [email protected].
Thanks in advance, I'm sure you've got some awesome stuff that would look great on our site.
Happy Racing,
Jeremy

I'll see what I can do to get myself in a picture with my mt2.... until then I have to fix the diffs for the 2nd time in a week... keeps breaking the center spines that hold the gears...

cenracer1, try the upgrade diff hub, pert #FFS027. I installed them a few days ago and they seem to hold the spider gears more firmly to the diff casing. They also appear to be made of sturdier stuff. Just a thought.

how about a competition and some goodies or prizes for a few categories, nothing too mad, maybe some vouchers or something, for the nicest racing cens out there.
just thought it would be nice for the guys who are flying the flag for cen, and getting noticed - especially with the help they provide on the forum when u guys are off racing or busy with r&d etc.
im not a racer, so it aint for my benefit!
edit: nice one scouser - i didnt even know about those. sound like something is being allowed to twist in there cenracer, are the diff bearings and diff casing ok?

Yeah man, great idea. Let it run 'til the end of the year then announce the CEN of the year award. I very much doubt I would win but it would be cool to see the entries.

I'm not sure what is causing it except the new engine... Its a strange thing... they let go with no warning... just explode inside the diff.... what I find are 3 gears with the shaft snapped off floating in the greasy soup... always a fun chore to repair.. I got it down to under 30 minutes...
.. I will look into the ffs027... unfortunately, I just purchased 4 more sets... Never have enough spares...

CEN, thanks for the increased interest and support on this forum. A competition of this nature would be great but maybe it should be a readers rides type competition instead of a racer's only comp.
cenracer1, the FFS027 will help with the problem but you might want to check the shimming in the differential also. I was having a similar problem and when I shimmed the diff. and used the FFS027 part I haven't had a problem.

I'm prety sure the problem is the carriers... I had to replace the front diff yestersay and when I took it apart, the diff housing was in pieces... replaced that with the only spare I had... Now get to order more parts including the ffs027.. The diff housing broke because the carrier arm snapped, letting the gears collide and smash though the plastic housing... Never had this problem until I put in the os 18... anyway, love the engine and its a small price to pay for the speed and fun...

Hey guys,
This competition sounds like an awesome idea, although I'm not sure that it will actually go through with the people that spend the money. If we do have one it will be a readers rides style comp without it being a racing only deal. The idea is simply to get your creations onto our website so you can show them off to anyone interested in the hobby. As mentioned we would also like you to include stories of your R/C adventures and any other info you'd like to add. If I can't get this passed through the powers that be then I might just have to purchase a prize and offer it up myself. So here's the deal, the first contest will begin in September, and it will be a monthly contest. I don't necessarily want people breaking the bank to try and win this because the criteria used for choosing the winner includes appearance, ingenuity, story, pic quality, or we might just decide that someone could use something and send it out to them. For this reason (and because I'll probably be paying for it) the prizes won't be the biggest deal in the world but they will be cool and useful. I must be honest that I'm hesitant to do this because I'd like to give something to everyone but unfortunately its beyond my means. I also want this competition to be friendly and all inclusive so please, regardless of how hopped-up your rig is, or whether you think it'll be a winner send it in. Regardless you will be able to get your name and face on our website and spread the good word of CEN to those that have yet to hear it.

Colby,
Man would you just send that thing in...I want them all.
Include a cool story of something that happened while you were driving and it'll still be rad. Then if you upgrade it or buy something new later you can send it in again and show off the new threads.
