Default Genesis tire selection, and Q's.

Ok guys, im dying to put some XTM gunmetal thorns on this truck, with some BRT1's. I'd like to know what you've tried for tires, before i go and buy anything. Im afraid this truck is gonna shred those tires and wheels. So if you have any pics, or experiences with other tires, and wheel conversions, post em!!! Right now i'd like to get something set for racing. Since the Genesis Sniper/Attack combo isnt out yet, i might be forced to go with the XTM setup, and NEM adapters.

I'm actually looking to do the opposite and put genesis wheels/tires on a 1/8 buggy. But I was told there is no conversion.

Check this out!!!! I had my gen in front of me to remove the engine for those blown gears. So i figured i'd try these HPI 17mm hubs on this truck. Guess what? Perfect fit! These are the spare parts pack for the 17mm Savage conversion. 9 bucks a pack. With this setup i can run Mammoth ST dish wheels, and 40 series tires, or ST tires. I have NOT checked the offset on those wheels yet, but i plan to soon. Once i get the wheels from Binary, i'll test em and get pics.

Oh, and in my opinion. If these went right on the Gen, i believe the Gen hubz will go directly onto your buggy. Worth a try anyway.

I've removed the top shocks entirely. The stock shocks now have 10 wt in them. They DO seem to have a sticking feel to the pistons. I had the same problem with my LST shocks. Easily remedied by polishing the pistons a bit. I will test that on the top shocks i removed. If i can get a smoother action, i'll post it. Other than the 10 wt, everything else is stock. It feels pretty rigid, but visibly working when driving it.

Have you removed, or loosened the grub screw from the axle first? It should come out pretty easy once thats done.
