Hi! My NTC3 is a piece of crap! well the engine that is!
i think i may want to take advantage of CEN's engine swap program. They have the NX 15 Lightning for 120 bucks with trade in of this old AE .12 enigne that does'nt run for some reason, and that i am sick of messing with and don;t care about. I was thinkin that because the CEN guys are the coolest, you may know. I'm sure maybe a few of the CT4 owners have NTC3's, or did when they first started.
Does this engine work with my NTC3??? From what i know, This link if my current engine. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCZD3&P=7
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The NX-15 is a big block motor, while the .12 is a small bock. If you can put a big block in the TC3 then you should have no problem installing the NX-15.

Doda-
The NX should fit in your TC3 without a problem. Just be sure that your car accepts SG shafts and you'll be all set.

Thanks jeremy!!! The carb i have is rotary and the carb on the NX 15 is slide i think....is this going to make a differance?
And yes, my car needs a SG shaft.
While i have you attention...it looks like the turbo .15 engine is only 150 bucks versus 120 for the NX. Worth my extra 30 bucks? I guess if i am going to get a new engine thats not race legal, i want it to rip. Thanks guys CEN ROCKS!!!
PS. I wish i would have purchasd a CT4-S...you'll get my money soon enough tho :-)

do that twice the engine and about 10 mph faster too it has about 5000 more rpm's plus the turbos can run leaner you might have to da a little work to get the engine to fit but that is what makes you better at the hobby learning how everything goes back together. aslso plus the turbo motor is a lot more torquie than i thought it pulls really hard big difference in my ct4 we had the radar gun out the other day and i had the top speed of 71 mph but i had the aceleration pulley set in and dropped the first gear teeth down to 14 io also modded my transmission gears and put the cen genesis upgraded gears on it just when ytou get the motor go ahead and buy a light flywheel just to help the motor scream. put it this way though at my hobby shop there always the same 12 guys up there draggin and plus the few ones that come every now and then my buddy has a fusion 21 with the upgraded acceleration kit to and i top out before he does and i have a higher top speed just make sure you set the camber and toe in on your tires good so you can handle the speed i always thought the ct4s handles like crap but i sat down and adjusted everything using a ruler string and protractor and it handles like it is on rails i can take my wheel and turn it left to right the whole way down the drag strip (made by us using electrical pvc 330Ft. long) and drift in a straght line and still win pisses people off but most off the top tuner cars can't do that but in reality almost any car can if you set it up right just make sure your tc3 is ready for it plus when you are taking your car apart maybe change the bearings too get dynamite pretty cheap and good plu that will help your car scream too any other questions just ask i have a lot of cars and plus i build frakenstines so i might use an ofna clutch or mugen spurs just think of ideas and see what works and what doesn't so far the ct4 is my favorite especially for the money if you like the turbo motor maybe jumpup and get the ct4r kit just 270 dollars sometimes 20 to 30 dollars cheaper that is what i did then you have all the hup ups chanded the tranny back to the one i made because the other would only top out at like 45 because it was set up for race
