HELP!
I have taken my Genesis to the track 3 times. I am new driving trucks so I drive it REALLY slow. No hard jumps or bumps at all and yet it surprises me with broken upper suspension arms. I have gone through 6 arms in about 12 laps total (yes that is how much I've driven it in 3 visits to the tracks).
Any recommendations? they are so poorly built. CEN should not sell something like this. My Genesis is somewhat new. They did send me a new engine when CEN could not fix the bearing problem it came with but this; this is a pure low quality issue (and I am here paying for it at $25 each suspension arms bag!)
I considered the NEw Era aluminum but I have been told that if I put those on then what holds the arms is going to break b/c it is plastic.
Any thoughts, suggestions, fire?
Thanks,

The bulkhead or the drag link for the steering will take on more damage with the aluminum arms, however i have just the aluminum upper arms on mine, i have beaten the living hell out of that genesis, i broke the drag link ( steering link) once, replaced that with aluminum also, and i also have a cracked bulk head but i epoxied it and it has held . Heck i even busted the wheel axle right in half sending one of the front tires flying on a high speed roll over and yet the arms held up. overall i feel the truck is more durable with the aluminum arms even though the damage will start occurring elsewhere.

abonnet,
Your problem of breaking your upper suspension arms is that
you have GS023 Brace (Upper) too tight so loose up abit GS026
so the arm would swing better.

I will losen that brace and see what happens. Paedbo thanks for the input. My steering link broke the third time I took the genesis out so I replaced it with aluminum. On another subject, I am less ready than you are to start having problems elsewhere... just transferring a problem (my own thought). I think I am destined to stocking large amounts of upper suspension armas and becoming a sort of Dukes of Hazard changing suspensions instead of flat tires.
