Just finished running in my rebuilt Genesis engine (thanks Irvine) but the shocks are all sagging/ binding. I've stripped them down and the oil was fine but noticed the shock shaft is quite tight where it goes through the shock body. At first i thought the pistons were tight in the bore but its not [:@] what is happening is the seals in the shock body are very tight on the shaft causing the binding. Is there an easy fix for this as i don't want to have to replace all the seals every gallon or so. Are there any better shocks off a different rc truck that would stand the weight of the Genesis? are there better seals or shafts that i could get?

The seals are not bad on the shockshafts but can be rebuilt if u want to.Here is a picture of my shock set-up,instead of 10,i have 6 shocks on my truck with Rexx X buggy springs and 40 series Moab on standard Genesis rims,it can be done just a nice thight fit and grips very well! Have a look at this picture ,there are 3 more on this site, just search for them.I use 35weight shock oil.http://totalrc.co.uk/pics/displayima...&cat=0&pos=206

I put the Integy MSR5s for the Savage on mine. I have ordered some dual rate springs from Full Force RC. The performance of the shocks are 110% better than stock, but like you said you have to find a heavy enough spring to support this porker. I also have New Era arms and aftermarket shock towers which give the truck crazy adjustability.

Cheers for the replies guys
i've been playing a bit and think savage shocks with suitable springs will do the trick i'll use 8 as i ditched the overhead shocks almost straight away[8D] I tried hyper 7 rear blue springs they fit the stock shocks nice and snug but were to hard. I also tried the hyper rear shocks with the Genesis shocks lower ends fitted perfect but again much too stiff.
