Finally, (not even a month, my pull start took a "Dump"!!! I aleady have a new Cen Roto start. just laying in wait for an occassion such as this. Anyway the instructions don't actually tell the whole story. They tell you which way the parts go ib, they mention to lube the one-way bearing, and they tell you where the screws go....
But the question is: "Does one lubricate,(lightly of course) the two gears that are inside the roto start unit, (the one on the engine of course)????? there's no instruction or hint
at this point, before one bolts everything back together.... I know many out there have installed these Roto Starters, so someone must know....thank forehand......

Yes, you may lube the 2 gears inside the backplate then just install it back on.
