Default Genesis LE spare parts

I am pretty sure I want to get the Genesis limited edition(seen it for $525 shipped). What kind of parts should I expect to break easily on it and should stock up on? Are metal a arms necessary upgrade?

Thanks,
Justin

The stock arms are plenty strong. Personaly I would not go with aluminum suspension parts. As far as spares, spur gears, pinions, clutch bells and clutch bell bearings are the only thing Ive ever had problems with.

Wait for some more suggestions before ordering parts though, Im sure others have good ideas on what to stock up on.

Arms are tough, but they do break. I would just replace the stock ones, if you go putting aluminum on then you are gonna break something harder to fix. I have not had and spur probs, only pinion probs. The pinion's are cheep tho, only 10 bucks each. UMMMM......I race the crap out of my Genesis at a construction site...I have yet to break anything really, except for my gear mesh being all out of whack and me stripping pinion gears. Great Truck!!! The best for bashing!!!!!

has a good price I think, maybe you can find it cheaper but I don't think so. it's 549.99
The shipping and handling is fast.
It only took about 6 days for me to get the new springs for the genesis and I live in Sweden.
Good luck with truck

I think he will get the Gen Le very fast if you order, e-mail him and ask. He do not update his site very often I think so he might have it in stock. I e-mailed him about my springs and he had them but not on his site.
But if you find one for 500 so go for it.

Must...have...now. LHS has it for $600, and it's calling me, so next time I post might have a Genny LE.

Sorry that ebay does not have one that cheap right now but I can assure you they do have them for around 500 bucks. You just have to keep on looking, but yeah I am sure you found plenty of Genny LE for around 550-600. Just keep your eyes peeled.

I love my genesis!!! The cool factor is an 11 out of 10!!!!

I was off roading with the genny today and I broke part gs028. It's metal and it broke, is there a custom stronger replacement for this?

You must have been beating the CRAP out of your genny to take out a CVD like that. are you sure it broke and did not just come apart? I have had to use locktite on the set screws of the CVD's of the mayhem ST I own. Check it out.

Those shafts are tough, dude, you must be king basher or somethin LOL

I have no idea if anyone makes better ones, I think they are already 8mm!!!!!

Nope I snapped it right at the pin hole, I thought it was plastic at first. I was just driving In this big construction site lots of rocks, might have smacked one, and I was going pretty fast. Good thing I didn't get a 1/10 scale truck huh lol.

Yeah dude for sure, I use the crap out of my genny and I have never broke one of those before. I dunno, it's new so I would call CEN and maybe ask them about it and I bet they will replace the part for free too, because the Genny is so new. good luck.

Hi Jman44
Do you use the stock A-arms? if you do you shouldn't be breaking any GS028 but if you use new eras aluminum arms YOU will break gs028 alot trust me I did.
When I use the stock A-arms I haven't yet broken any GS028 but I do not say it's impossible to do that. Haven't seen any option for them yet.
I think you just had bad luck.
Good luck.

I don't think , but i'm not sure. You have to call CEN because they didn't answer the same question you have in another thread here on CEN forum
But check this pic. It's a pic on gss010

Hi,

I think too that the pinions are much too soft.
Why don't you try the one I make?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MESE%3AIT&rd=1

They're machined out of C42 steel and than heat treated to have a much harder finish.

I sell them over Ebay or you can just order them directly from me if you need only one ore more than two.

Please read my feedback to know about my pinions and feel free to ask for further informations

Thanks

I haven't had a pinion break yet, but If I do I will upgrade them. Headrushhobbies sent me a pm about gss10 "Item# GSS10 this is a opition part and is virtualy unbrakeable, the Inner Cup is much bigger then stock and the Swing Shaft is stronger than the original the ball end and pins are thicker."
Still I'm not sure if it is the wheel axle.

Now I can say it will not include the wheel axle.
Go to Headrushhobbies a check he has a better pic on.

Ok, I don't need that part then. They should make bigger wheel axles though, I wonder what it would cost to have a machine shop make some stronger one, maybe titanium.

What is the best hump pack for the cen genesis? Also has anyone tried the rc solutions roll cage for the genesis? Is it any good or are their alternatives that are better?
