What do you guys think?

I think I would wait for the Magnum. CEN stated they upgraded the drive train and made it better. If that is true, it will be worth waiting for. The diff cups on the MT2 need to be modified or they will not hold up and everyone is waiting to see if the new ones are better. Also, you get a larger motor.

A larger motor on the Magnum you mean right? What motor would you recommend?

Ask yourself this - why buy an old car when there's a new and greatly improved version coming out fairly soon?
The Magnum comes with a new .18 engine as standard, and judging by the way the MT2 performed with the NT-16, i'm sure there'd be no need for an engine upgrade straight away, if at all.

Im in the same position to. I think im going to get the fun factor because im only 10, and to have to wait for something is hard. Besides the Fun Factor already has parts and stuff out, and im new to nitro so i dont need anything to fancy. I say Fun Factor, because you can always build on it to.

Yea, it looks like most parts will be interchangeable. I am not sure I would go with the aluminum arms though, you will just break the diff housing instead of the arm breaking. Or, bend the arm. I have had a couple nasty wrecks with mine and the arms did not break. I even had one arm flex so far it popped a shock off the shock tower and bent the pivot ball that it mounts to and the arm did not break.

I was just looking at the parts list on the magnum. On the 16 page toward the top it lists metal spur gears. FF102 and FF103. Wouldn't that just eat up the aluminum pinion gears. I didnt know if anyone else noticed that, so I thought I would point it out

ur right, the alloy pinions wont like it, but the steel 1 piece pinions and bell work ok with steel spurs.
bloody typical the steel spurs are coming out now... i sure wish cen had said something instead of ignoring my posts about steel spurs - it would have saved me a lot of time and money.

pj you're a pioneer for the funfactor if you wouldn't have done it they probably never would have. I finally got all the parts I need for mine and it put back together. It's colder than he** here but I don't care I'm running it later, it's been to long.

I need to get a replacement engine for one of my Cen Fun Factor's. I have already tried OS .18 CV-RX. I was thinking of trying a CEN Engine. Does anyone know if the Magnum's NX-30 .18 engine is a direct fit for the Fun Factor. I would consider buying one instead of the NT-16 factory engine. Thanks to all..

check cens site to see if they still do their Engine Exchange Scheme, could save u a few $$
was the CVR-X too much power? wondering why u would consider a cen motor over that $90 little gem...?
