Default CEN CT4S Engine problem and question

I got a new CT4S rc car yesterday and seems to be a good running car. Break in period was easy, no complaints there. Today I was running it around the parking lot at my apartments and the strap holding the battery pack broke and one of the batteries came out while throttle was engaged. It took off on its own and hit a curb and flipped upside down and ran full throttle until the motor apparently ceased b4 I could get to it. I removed the head and found the piston at its lowest point with metal shavings on top of it and the pull start stuck. my first thought was to just buy another car and have a replacement part for everything but I am thinking of going with another brand due to poor part support in the Dallas, TX area. Would it be worth putting another engine into ?? Should I get a different brand car? any suggestions would be appreciated!
