Default .28 for racing Nemesis?

CEN or anyone,

Just want to know if any modification or change of engine mounts is required to install a .28 size motor in a Nemesis. MY reason for the change is that ROAR rules and most clubs maximum size engine is .28 for monster trucks. Any info would be great. Thanks.

Gerry.

I wouldn't think you would have to. I have a .28 w/pullstart in my buggy. It fits just fine. I don't have a genesis though so I have no clue really.

Yes you have to modify the engine mount. It consists of re-drilling the top engine holes on the mount and cutting out the heat sink on the bottom, giving you two mounts.

Could you post some pics as to what it should look like? And what engine would you recommend in the .28 range?

Thanks.

Ditto, I am wondering if an SH28 would be enough to power the Nemesis or not, I know the top RPMs are not that high but the claimed HP is. Has anyone else used this engine?

I have one in my buggy with factory gearing and it keeps up with the .21's at my track. I like the motor, it runs good and is fairly easy to tune.

Yeah I had a SH in my last Savage and it made a world of a difference over the stock .25. I was just curious on how well it would perform in the Nemesis, too, I am not to crazy on how other pipes look on it either. Is it me or do the other pipes look small on this truck? With my Savy I had the 1" ext. chassis and the ribbed pipe still looked proportioned on it but it seems that it looks dinky on the Nemi and wondered what pipe could you use if you went down to a 28 without making it look out of whack?[&:]

well i run a lrpz 28 and it moves this truck with authority so should the sh28. you must remember the stock engine and pipe was very heavy at first my regular .28 pipe looked small on the truck until i removed the bumpers and left the skids know everything looks more balanced and im know going to 17/21 gearing were stock gearing was 21/25 on clutch bell

ive finally killed my SH.28, but not after lots of heavy abuse. good motor all in all, especially for the price. tonnes of power, mate, should be fine in a genesis or nemesis.

os 30 would be nice tho...
