Default 4.6 dying

Ok just got of the phone with my friend. He has been having problems lately with his Genesis, starts going for about a 1/4 of a tank then dies. Stated that it seemed flooded. I told him he probably needs to lean out the hi setting. What do you guys think and have you hade this problem. Using MC-59 glow plugs, just replaced his fuel tank and tubing (Had a small crack in it but was holding pressure) new exahust gasket, but does seem to flood out.

What are his temperatures and smoke trail like when it runs for the first 1\4 tank of fuel? It's kinda hard to say without seeing the motor run, temps would give us an idea.

Temps seem to be okay 200-225, asked about the smoke trail and he says it has been about normal. Really haven't seen him race lately, but am going out on Thursday with it.

Has he tried a new plug? Sounds like he might just be out of tune. I assume the motor is not old is it? (more than 3-4 gallons)

No about a gallon and a half, I asked him about the plug, but will advise him to change it out tomorrow and see how that does too.
