Just about to glue up my first set of tires. I've got a supply of CA, from thin to gel. Now I see there is tire glue also. What's the difference between tire CA, and thin CA? Can I use the thin CA I already have to glue my tires? Do I need to buy tire CA? Help, and tips on gluing would be appreciated. Also, read an article on banding the inside of the tires with strapping tape to keep the tire from "growing" when it diffs out. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't give you any Professional advice, but I have never had any issues with flueing tires before. I have used KrazyGlue and I have use actual tire glue. Only difference was that the tire glue was runnier so it was easy to apply. When I do tires I put the foams and rubbers on and leave them sit for a day so that the foams can straighten themselves out because they are usually all folded up in the packaging. Then I push both edges of the tire im working on, the beads or whatever, into the center of the tire so the grooves are empty. Then I put the glue all around the tire in the groove quickly(thats where the less viscous glue is nice) and pull the bead into the groove. repeat for ohter side.
Like I say thats probabaly not how pros do it but I have had only good luck with that method.

Another thing too, you can wet your foams to bring the shape back in but wait until they are fully dry before placing them in the tires. Too, be sure to wash your wheels and tires with a mild soap or denatured alcohol to get all the releasing agents from the factory off. If you want to keep them from ballooning at high RPM's then you can use simple strips of duct tape on the insides of the tires as well plus your foams, often referred to as belting, I did this with my Savage and LST's aftermarket tires and it did help out quite a bit. There is little to no difference in tire CA and krazy glue except there consistancies. I do prefer the Team Losi glues more so than any out there, I don't know why, but it seems to hold the best in the cases where I used it. Just be sure to clean where the tire meets the rim though, this will help it out alot in the bonding process for sure though. Good luck.
