Default first time at the track

went to the track in ct for the first time and had a blast, the only problem i had was the nemisis's rear shock opend up and lost oil. it happened when i went full throttle at a tripple jump, it still ran well except i had some problems it stalling at wot which i dont understand because the temps never reached over 230. well definitly a lot harder than those guys make it seem on the track, i think i'll take up some lessons on how to drive on a track without reverse, lol

Sounds rear cool.

Did the shock split/break open, or have you been
working on them and not put it back together correctly???

the shock just pulled apart and the threads are ok, i just need to add some oil and i'm ready to go.

the black rims are xtm 17mm from hobby people and tires are the moabs(not the xl) 40 series from proline. the way to make them work is you need to buy the ofna 17mm adaptors with a 8mm hole.

i dont think i had vapor lock i think it was the nitro i used, i was running trinity then went to sidewinder. i think i needed to richen the needle because it only happened when i went full throttle. when i changed fuels i reset the lsn but not the hsn, i'll try this and turn it out 3/4 turns and see where i stand with the engine turning off.like i said before the temps never reached over 230 which is weird.

Hey Jombo, I had the same thing happen to my Nemesis. The shock blew apart, I believe the threads are OK as well. Looks like the exact same one. I am thinking about getting the aluminum shocks. Has anyone upgraded to these yet? I think I am also going to get the 40 series wheels and tires. Does anyone know if the Commandos are an exact fit?

skarecrow,

As it is the same one you have broken, it must be a problem with heat from the manifold. []

I think I will add a heat shield to protect to mine.
