Well hello all. I just took my Nemesis out today to see what it could do, mind you it is all stock with the exception of the air filter, it does have the Motorsaver on it. Well at first it was only registering in at 22mph but after a few more passes it got up to 29mph. Only after it got to the half tank of fuel point did it really shine, it started to lean out and reached a 37mph consistent pass, that is it did it in one direction and the opposite direction for a total of 4 passes. The highest it got to was 39mph, at which it was running extremely lean with temps of 300F+, I do not recommend anyone trying this unless you can replace parts in the engine or you have a spare. The test fuel I used was Trinity Monster HP 30%. Didn't quite hit 40mph but pretty close, and all within a 100-125' stretch. Not bad I don't think, but I did fry the clutch.

I am going to switch to an Nova Racing aluminum clutch setup, I have got these in the other trucks and they work great as a three shoe setup so I know it should do just as good as a four shoe setup like the Nemesis has. I will keep you guys posted. So I hope this serves as a starting point in which most Newbs want to know, here in KY on a 70F day and 50%humidity the Nemesis will go around 37mph consistent top speed, 39 tops, and 28 in 4" tall grass. Running rich though it would only do 29mph which I am satisfied with to keep the motor happy.

Well, I have to pitch this in here, I drove past the trap shortly after with my real truck and my speedo said I was going 45mph and the radar clocked me at 41mph which could mean that the numbers posted here very well could be off as much as 4mph. Hmmm, that would mean running extremely lean the Nemesis does go 40+mph as advertised, as mine could have been going 43mph top with a cosistent 41mph passes....wow. Also, I seen a post stating the radar gun is actually clocking the tires on MT's when they are being clocked but I don't think this the case in my situation as the radar wouldn't even register my truck without the body on but with it on it would. Tried twice, just for good measure, and it just wouldn't work without it on, too, I did run in opposite directions to cancel out any downhill drag or wind resistance and took the average of the two speeds to get the overall TS, and the highest TS is just that, the highest speed registered in two separate passes in both directions but not in consecutive runs, so I really couldn't count them. But my trucks speedo could be off as well, although I don't think so, as it is a 05'. If anyone else has some TS figures that you have done with your Nem or Gen or any CEN feel free to post it here so that all can see and be refered to this post when it is asked by anybody. Oh yeah don't forget your spec's as well.

I have the Nova installed on it as I type, have yet to run it though. I am sure I will like it just as much as I do on my others, I couldn't recommend these clutch shoes more to any one. They wear great and are fully adjustable with the included weights for engagement points. For the price they are well worth every penny, but I will let you know how they do after this weekend, this is when I will run the snot out of it. Building a nice little ramp to do some good jumping, hope to have some good pics. I'll post them up.

Sure thing Scare, it reallly is simple. If you want that snappy clutch engagement just install them as is w/out the included setscrews. If you would like a slight delay or to be able to roll on the throttle without the snap then just add the weight needed for your desired result. It is a little trial and error on which weight and where, but just remember to use the locktite if you decide to use the weight. If you just plan on bashing though, I say just leave them off and run it as is without the weights. I use the largest weight on the middle hole to help with slowing the takeoff as I run a more intricate track with some large straights it helped out a little but there still more to be desired, or it could just be the driver. lol The quick engagement was too much for me in the turns, I may add one more. Good luck I'm sure you'll be as pleased as I was when I first started using them. Let us know.

You'll love the Nova shoes but run the black springs with them(Part # MX029). I don't know why but I keep breaking the gold ones!
