I was wondering if anyone could tell me what all you would need to hook up CEN's new "Ultra Hard Spur gears" (FFS102 or FFS103) And also what kind of Clutch bell gear to get if any. thanks

eerm well if your cen is 2 speed then nothing its a direct replacement i would of thought.... you will need steel pinion on the clutch... alloy will be ok for about 2 tanks of fuel

should leave you with stock gearing! if you get the 11/14 pinion like you will already have... cant see one in steel though... humm

I will be trying the HPI steel clutch bell pinions P/N A820 (11/14 tooth) or A823 (13/16 tooth) on the new CEN steel spurs. Their ad says black metal .... hope it's means steel. HPI usually has good products.

I tried the HPI 2-spd pinions form Tower Hobbies and they worked just fine. They are made of made of steel and cost <$10ea. However, I woukld not use them on a big block engine as they use the smaller MT2 size bearings.

have u tried a google search on the part number?
kind of a fair point, the steel cen bells and bearings dont last as long with a BB, but theyre not all that bad - in my experience anyway. there are ceramic bearings that should work out better on ebay, but i havent got round to trying them yet. anyone else tried ceramics?
an alloy 3 shoe clutch setup seemed to help my bearings last a bit longer - less slip, less heat i guess.
rambling, but it might help... and for gods sake dont use plastic shielded bearings in ur clutch... trust me on that.
