Default FunFactor.. Getting too hot ??

Just wondering if my FunFactor is getting hotter than it should be.

After a long run you can hear a sizzling sound.. Is this not a good thing. or standard?

Probably running too lean....like mine....but that was the only way I could get mine running.

Cool.. Just hada look on Cen's site and think I need to adjust the fueling so it runs richer.. Also time for some new glow plugs too as she is now stalling on startup.

Mine kept stalling on startup as a result of running to lean.

The link below to cens NT-16 tuning guide gives some usefull information like carb settings (good to get you going if you mess up) and also the recommended engine temperatures. If you havnt got a temperature gun or monitor i would reccomend one they save a lot of time guesing.

Also, check to make sure you don't have a dirty air filter. So many times we get customers calling in telling us they can not keep there car or truck running. We ask a series of questions to determine the problem. Most times when I ask !QUOT!How dirty is the air filter?!QUOT! I get responses like, !QUOT!Black, super brown...I have never changed it and have had the truck 6 months!QUOT! etc. This will defiantly make the engine run lean. So keep the air filters CLEAN guys

I'm planning on a rebuild, but here is my situation...

Air filter = new
Glow plug = OS 8 (will verify when I get home)
low compression (feeling from spinning shaft)
spit test sizzles instantly after running about 5 mins or until it stalls....usually after 1/2 tank
using 20% Nitro
NT .16

Accelleration is super sluggish and delayed after trigger applied.
