Hi All,
First… let me say that I’m sorry I’ve let you guys down. But, my life has taken an unexpected turn as far as my hobbies go. I never thought I wouldn’t have time to “have fun.”
As most of you know… my wife gave birth to our first kid 3 months ago. But, most of you don’t know that my day job has changed. I was (still am) an R&D Product Development Chemist. But, I have been promoted. Now I am the lead Chemist, and have to deal with every problem our customers have. This has had me doing WAY more traveling than I would like. In the past 3 months, I have been away from home 8 weeks. This is also why I may not respond to e-mails and PM’s as fast as I would like. And as some of you (with kids) know… After coming home from a trip, I can’t just head down to the shoppe to work on hobbies. I have to spend “Quality Time” with the family. (or cut the grass, clean the landscaping, or fix something around the house)
Anyway… I’m not gone… but I probably won’t have time to make the chassis in the near future. But… they are still on the “building Board” and will be the next thing from me. I would think that I will have more time as the weather gets colder because customer demand will go down at work (ie. less travel) and there will be less outside stuff to do with the house.
You may be wondering why it took so long to write this. Well… every week I would think to myself… “I should be able to get the first ones made.” And before I knew it… the week was gone. So… this morning… I thought I have to write an apology before this goes any farther.
Last thing… I have to thank all the people who supported me, and have bought my stuff in the past. And, the people who have directly helped me will not be forgotten. You will be shown my appreciation once things get moving again.
Once again… sorry, and thank you for understanding.
Tony

Thanks Tony. I for one fully understand your situation and will be here with paypal in hand when the chassis is done. You have your priorities straight and no one can bash you for that. I have 2 kids and a side job so I know how time just dissappears. I have thought about giving up my side job to spend more time doing things I really want to do, but ironically that side job is what pays for my hobbies and a lot of my toys.

Good to hear from you Tony.
Good on you for getting the promotion, hell, Id take travel over RC anyday! Dont worry about the chassis`- youve got your priorities straight mate. Just keep the drawings safe for us.
Best of luck in the future too.

Latrobe?
Not to far from Torrance psychiatric hospital where I work. I don't know you but congrats on the new job. My brother, like you is a plant manager, work, travel constantly. Had to fly to germany to prove that a product his company designed was not flawed, but rather the way it was shipped caused the issue. He has been to germany, austria, the chec republic, beligum, china, japan, thialand, canada, mexico, and who knows where else? He took a new job which only involves travel in this continent. Myself I have 2 to 3 days off a week, always at meetings, dealing with rules and regs, I know mentally that at times I just don't want to think, anything involving thinking I try to avoid at times.
Its to bad we lost are only hobby shops in the area, I only bought small stuff there but it was convient. I loved the shop in Derry PA I was really saddened to see it die. Really nice people who operated it. I did a lot more business there.
Good Luck
