Default Racing Options

I thought I would start this one up to ask directly about racing option parts for 1:10 scale owners. I know that Pops over at KMW has made a set of buggy shocks for the Matrix and that Bill at BCE has a full buggy to work his magic on. Both are very excited about their respective projects but there doesn't seem to be any plans to push the option parts for the Magnum etc. I realise that the entire industry is looking to 1:8 truggies to lead in but isn't it about time Losi and AE had a decent rival in 1:10 trucks? Is there any chance of a factory team chassis again? Maybe officially support Dr Honda and his ARO products? Come on, give us long standing 1:10 owners some good news!

I have a few questions I would like to ask CEN.
The titanium pivot balls for the hubs of the CT4 seem to have been discontinued. Do you have any available or have your stocks of these parts completely run out? If they have run out, do you know of any alternatives? The M5 pivot balls I have are getting very rusty and I would prefer to replace them with Ti ones[8D]
I also notice that part number FF2004 is showing as in stock in your online store!! Am I right in assuming that this is a typo? Please p.m. me if you do have them in!!!!

PJ, do you know if the Tmaxx pivotballs will fit the CEN hubs? I reckon that might be my best chance of finding titanium ones!
P.S. they haven't p.m.'d me yet![X(]

Maybe time to get a few more pics on the 'junkroom' thread!!!
I have seen a set from Fmax that are 8.6mm M5 thread but can't be certain they fit without actually buying them. Thought the Tmaxx ones might be compatible and then I can get a set I know will fit.
NObody happens to know the part number for the diff cups that fit the front one-way diff do they? I tested it out today but I hadn't done the diff cup mod. Obviously I crashed and wouldn't you know it, the diff cup broke.[:@]

Sorry mate, the Tmaxx has bigger balls than the FF, I just checked. Damn shame the Tmaxx hubs wont fit under 2.2" wheels. Its close, but its not happening unless you find some really oddball, slightly oversized 2.2s.

You mean the FFS023 One Way Diff? I dont see any diference between the cups with that and the stock ones, from pics at least... Im presuming you tried the stock ones? I cant find any mention of different cups anywhere. Whats the difference? Any pics? Fetch the dremel?

Anyway - you got money burning a hole in your pocket or what? You know what will happen with that one way! I wouldnt try one purely on the cost of it... love to know how you get on though mate, you running the 18 behind it?

sorry I cant be of any help with the cups.

The diff cups on the one-way have round shafts as opose to the stock ones that have the flat spot. I have checked to see if they fit and there is a chance the Dreamel could sort them but I would prefer the proper thing. I am still running the NT16 on the CEN at the mo', I have two engines and a few new piston and liners aswell as con rods so I can keep running these for ages. A nice new OS.18 is always tempting though, especially when they are so cheap. The one-way is a bit of an experiment but I think it will work out pretty well on the track. I know they have a reputation for being a bit flimsy but I will give it a chance and see what happens. It was only sitting in my spares box anyway!
The titanium pivot balls are for strength, lightness and anti-corrosion properties! (and bling). All the ones I have are getting a bit tatty and I meant to pick up the CEN ti ones ages ago. Now they have stopped doing them I have to look for alternatives. I always like a challenge though! Might get a set of these Fmax ones and sell 'em on ebay if they don't fit.

Hey guys. PM me with the parts that CEN wont make and I will have them custom made from my machinist. Give me a PM with your ideas, I will make them come true.

Yeah I posted that when I was actually working in the factory every day. I can make one of those as well. That is a very simple part.

2.2" wheels for a duratrax maximum will fit right on to T-maxx hubs.

laydback, just look in your local phonebook for "chromeplating" Powder coating" or "Metal coating" call one of the numbers you find and ask them if anyone in town does anodizing. if the town you are in does not have any of that then let me know I have a plater here in Tucson that will do it for a $60.00 minimum plus postage
