hey all,
this post is in regards to my other post, where i showed pics of my ct5 and the damaged fuel tank.
my LHS got the tank replaced for me for free, and i got the belts and pulley(is there supposed to be one or two?)
i finished breaking in engine, and running it in- car has been tuned by me over past two days, runs really well now.
heres sum facts about it so far:
- the car is tuned, leaned out, prob running near its optimum.
-car runs at around 230-240 degree's fahrenheit.
-soft compund tyres on it(turns so dam sharp-seriously, way better than what stock wheels would do).
btw this is for all who have bagged the ct5s for slow off the line(even with the short gear ratio).
i ran the car on my street yestr, and it pulls out of corners extremely fast for a "out-of-the-box" car with a .15 bb on it. and with the tyres i have, it stops quick and i can turn instantly(really small turning radius). dont see how people r having probs making a good turn with it.
unfortunately my street is way too small for the speeds of this car- hits 2nd gear, and i have to brake.....
and also the chassis is way too hollow, i had to custom make a lexan chassis to cover holes(getting a CF one made by people at CCS-custom composite supplies). and a pebble made my car go airborne
.
all in all, tyhis car is great, and i am happy with it, mainly cause i dont race it- and its alot better to me- racing pocket bikes and 50cc mini's.

glad they got you set up. if i bought the CT5 as my first rc for surface, i may of Never looked at a gasser. its one of 3 nitros im keeping, the other 20 some odd air and tmaxx items i have are out the door. but to be honest, nothing beats seeing my 35 inch Porche 911 cruise at a nice 50+ mph with a single speed, next year its a 1/5th F1 and 2 speeds for both, and/or the new CEN 1/5th i heard about. im betting on a SGT 1/5th 4x4 shaft driven MADARSE MACHINE, with a 29cc as stock.
hope its SOON!>
