Default help with shocks

I just got matrix tr arena ! Great RTR ! Anyway I wrecked into wood pile and broke the shock shaft. I replace it and the other good shaft in the front with shafts for mayham st. Seem to be real close in lenght 53mm I think . MY question is when i rebuild the shock how much shock fluid do I put in there Im using 30 wt. Do I fill the shock all the way up or just until the clear blator or do i put more fluid on top of the clear insert?
Not real sure how much to fill them up also does anybody know how long the matrix tr front shaft is?
And what is the best substitue.
Thank you
ICC
P.S. im ordering ones from cen!!!!

when you fill it up pull the shaft all the way to the bottum and fill it with oil to about the top then you need to slowly push the saft to the top and then put the clear platter into the shock and slowly pull the shaft back down and then put your cap back on it and i am not for sure of the size of the shaft.

Good advice Dennis, two more things I like to do is while you move the shaft up and down you will probably see bubbles rise to the top, I keep moving the shaft until there's no more bubbles. When you put the cap back on, push the shaft all the way to the top, if you filled it right it should start to come back down on its own, if not, its not full. If you cant push the shaft all the way to the top without resistance, you filled them too much.
