I don't think the LE has the MTM brakes, gst has some minor engine differences apparently and a different body and chassis colour. This is all I'm aware of but I own a gst and have never seen an LE in person to know.

Hey steve3472,
As MONAROMAN said the GST has MTM brakes (LE has fibre pads), it also has has a different colour body (same shape, but lexan is a little thicker than the LE) & chassis is green compared to the LE's red.
The GST also has an improver/strenghtened pullstarter, retuned carby & engine internals (same physical dimensions) + a black head, & has a Skyion DSX radio system (LE has an Airtronics MX-3 Radio, & a red head).
They both run the same diffs axles, shafts, & center transmission ratios/internals (GST has a different transmission case to allow the MTM brakes). Both are 3 speed with reverse.
The GST has 23mm wheel Hex's (same as the Nemesis), (the LE has 19mm ones), GST also has black bumpers (like the nemesis) but the LE has chrome ones.
The following CEN Racing [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/index.cfm] RCU Review [/link] links tell it all, with some good pictures to boot (plus a video of each),
[link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/article_display.cfm?article_id=819]GST[/link]

[link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/article_display.cfm?article_id=667]Nemesis[/link]
I think I covered most the differences between the two, hope it helps,

Well Steve the bad news is it is the current low man on pole(Genesis LE is discontinued), but the good news is its Still a CEN Genesis series and can be upgraded to The Nemesis and GST 7.7 specs fairly easy.
BTW Welcome to CEN Genesis ownership.
Have fun!!

Steve,
No need to sell it!!!!! just put the locker in the center diff and tune it properly after you remove the baffles out of the exhaust, you will be able to do wheelies. You will also want to ditch the overhead shocks and setup the suspension so the CVDs are level. with alittle tinkering and tuing you will have one badassed truck that can take a beating!! the LST2 is fast and all but the genesis will take a hit much better..
The early versions of the Genesis had problems with axle breaking but CEN has has replaced them with the better ones on the GST and all stock that is available for ordering. They will also replace them if you happen to break the weaker set.
Hope this helps-Feel free to PM me any questions or concerns you might have on any of the Genesis Series Trucks (Genesis LE, Nemesis, GST7.7) I will be more than happy to help out.
Check out my gallery for some fun stuff

the le in my opinion is a better truck than the gst, the le comes with a airtronics fm computer radio a BIG plus for me and the mtm ( metal to metal)brakes can be upgrades for 19.00 at custom rc cars. you got a good truck there dont sell your self short.pm me if you still want to sell it.

yes its the same except the braking system. but its only a 19.00 upgrade if you want it, the truck still stops well but after 3 or 4 tanks the brakes fade not badly just enough to bother you when you think there adj fine.

Hey MONAROMAN, csa,
Don't be down about it....[
]
From what I have read in all the reviews & comparisons, it would seem that you like me, actually have a better radio than the one that you should have been given (Skyion radio system). Perhaps it is the rest that got the left overs & not you [8D]
steve3472, if you read the links I posted above especially the one about the GST, your questions will be answered, in detail!

well it looks like the diferesnt grom the gst and the le is the gst has plastic shocks where as the the le has aluminum with plastic prespacers, second is the brakes like people have said, the gst has metal brake pads versus the le wich has Fiber Pads, also the gst doesnt have the 10 shock setup where as the le has the 10 shock setup. both look to have the same exact engine displacement. so maybe i didnt get such a bad deal lol

Hey steve3472,
I don't know how much you paid, but I would assume that being the old model you would have got a good deal!
As you can probably guess from my signature I have an LE!
Yes, you are right on the 10 shocks to a point! The GST only has 8 as you have said, but they come with white (stiffer) springs.
The LE came with 10 shocks, with Red (softer) springs. The shocks themselves are identical, all plastic bodied, with the same oil & pistons. They just have the different springs! ( I only know this since my spare set (8, shocks with white springs) are actually GST items, which incidentially are the same as Nemesis shocks & springs. I luv the Bay!).
If you have any questions you want to ask me please feel free to PM me. As TRD has said, you can easily upgrade any of the parts to GST &/or Nemesis spec if you wish, & the bay is good for this.

well it just came today in the mail it looks nice but im not sure its as tough as my lst2 just from looking at it, good news is it started up on the first pull although th pull start is coming off for a roto start since i have 3 extra starting plates it looks like it will fit, since its 930 pm here i cant run it because of german quite hours and courtisy to neighbors so ill be trying it tommorrow was reading in the direction book that the centerlock would put excessive strain on the whole drive train is this true or false and if tru to what extent of life would i lose on the drive train i am maticulios about maintenance so every few runs im checking screws and spacing on my vehicles, thanks for any more info Steve[&:]

Hey steve3472,
Congratulations on your new arrival, & welcome to the Genesis owners club!
Not sure about your comment on its toughness, I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder! (If you meant physical toughness, then my bad, but even that is a matter of opinion!)
If you are into Hop-Up's check out this [link=http://www.cenracing.com/cars/gst/gstoption.html]new bling [/link] that CEN Racing has just released! It will bolt straight on to your LE.
As for the roto starter fitment, I recommend it. You obviously have also used it before, if i'm reading between the lines correctly!
Just remember that CEN Racing does NOT recommend its fitment until you have put at least 1 Gal through your motor (due to its high compression, I don't think that the roto starter can cope!).
Regarding the Center lock block, I wont answer it here as it is already a much discussed topic. Except to say, some say yes & some say no - not alot more!
[link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=5659095&key=Cen%2Clock%2Cblock]Here[/link] is one thread on this subject, there are more if you use the search feature. I am currently sourcing some 500k wt silicone oil for mine. If I'm not happy with that, I will be fitting the lock block!
Another useful source of information is [link=http://cenracing.com/phpBB2/index.php]CEN Racing's own Official Forum[/link].
Anyway have fun with your new babe, .46NitroAddict [>:]

To be honest, it does the job quite well. It's a bit springy at the center and a bit more steering throw (at the remote, not car) would be nice.

well ive finally got it and got a chance to run it it has some hight torque take off poower but do to mis tune on the carb i could try the top end speed, also is the front wheels floating while under throttle norma without the center diff locked and what could cause the vehicle not to pull straight while on heavy throttle, i thought it was the steering till i realized that it doesnt pull just one way while under hard throttle, also ive inspected the complete steering system and all is tight, thanks steve. Hey steve3472,
Ok, that was one quick run in!
Anyway, to answer your questions, yes light front wheels are possible especially under full throttle. Alot of this depends on your tune, & the surface you are running on. Afterall, your motor is a Beast!!
On hard ground, concrete.etc with the standard diff setups, my LE would pull small wheelies! But due to the fact that the front wheels are then unloaded (because they are off the ground) the center diff then unloads, causing most of the driving force to go to the front. Hence, only small wheelies - wheels don't create foward motion when in the air!
So the same thing also applies to your throttle / torque steer problem! You have noted that she will steer left or right, when under hard acceleration. This is mainly due to the fact that the wheel with the least traction tends to slip, this causes the diffs to unload & send the main of the driving force to the unloaded wheel!
Now, there are a few things you can try to mask &/or correct this problem!
You can adjust your toe in/out & camber alignment to help mask this problem. Firstly you could try a front toe in of 0 deg, & a rear toe in of 2-3 deg, this may assist the problem. Camber settings can also help to a lesser amount. See this [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4484636/tm.htm#]thread[/link] as previously discussed.
Filling your center diff with a heavier oil or locking it can also help as it will cause a more equal amount of driving force to be sent to both the front & rear diffs, thus limiting the center unloading problem to left or right hand wheels at either the front &/or rear only, not just 1 wheel. Hence more control, because you have more wheels driving foward.
Yes I know there is a lot here, just try 1 thing at a time & see how the change goes. If it helps, keep it - if it makes the problem worse, put it back how it was!
Hope this helps you Tame the Beast, .46NitroAddict[>:]
