This is a good thread, and yes, it should be made a sticky. (that way we ont have to keep digging it up again even though it is over a year old). Now, what would be impressive is 2 333in-oz servos in this dual steering servo configuration

EDIT: Opps, my bad, it is aleady a sticky!

Hi I'm new to these forums. Since you did this mod have you noticed a decay in your battery life? Also since you have now 2 steering servos and one throttle, how did you make them work? Did you have to adjust a dual steering setting on your controller or the Y harness did the trick? Thank you.

of course there was a very small decrease in drive time but a higher mAh battery will counter that. The y-harness took care of any issues with the 2 servos working together. And this mod is still in place and working very well, so much so, I forget its there and justy enjoy the great steering it has afforded me..
Both my Genesis and Nemesis has this mod on them!! Try it you'll like it!

I have a GSR and was thinking of going for a fast servo with a high torque coreless motor, with two servos, I can get faster and less torque to compensate, but the weight gain is going to be kind of significant, I already have a GST pipe and a 3rd speed. I'll probably end up doing it for the "intimidating" option of saying I got two steering servos.

You really wont notice much of a wieght gain with this mod. Think about how much the extra servo wieghs.. Not much and really that is the only heavy part you are adding, so hat is the only real wieght difference, but you are losing some too by cutting the plastic out of the radio box.. Trust me you'll like the added speed, torque and reliability with 2 servos!

Dogman-
How did you switch to the battery pack? Will it work for a GST?
Will the dual servo mod work with rear steering ??

Looks like a nice mod, have tried it on my GST but looks like the gear shifting servo is blocking the place where the new servo should be installed. Could be that i have gotten this wrong.

Great mod, Dogman. I am particularly impressed with the step between the second last and last photos - a genesis turned into a nemesis!

Hey Why can't I see any pictures? I'm really wanting to do this modification, it's either this or a $110+ dollar Savox Servo. Can anyone send me the pictures or complete write up, not sure if it's the site or what but I'd like to get these instruction to do this mod asap!
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yes James,
You will need to make that piece of metal, you could cut the plastic to fit but it will flex and you will need spacers in lace of the metal/servo plate to get the servos at the same level.
