Ok well i was driving my cen funfactor mt 2.. Off about 1 foot jumps mayby 2 at the maxx and i here this scraping sound so I drove it back to me and looked around for what was wrong. I broke a diff cup, i thought to my self wow this is a really weak car. I jump my mini's 6-7 feet with no damage. This is the thrid time i have broken a diff cup so all i ask is you replace it. Its really getting me mad to the point where i dont drive the truck any more cause its just going to break.

Weakest parts on the FF are teh diff cups and spurs.
For the diff cups, there is a simple mod that solves all your problems http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_42...tm.htm#4204407
search for "diff cup mod" and you'll find tons more threads on how to do it. Can be done with copper tubing, compression fittings, or anything really.
once you mod them, you'll never break another one.

Overall, you may end up this chasing the problem further because when you upgrade the cups you may then start breaking axles etc etc, Check weather the Magnum cups are the same or weather they upgraded them. But yea do the mod and just take your chances with the axles.
Also set up your dogbones with small o rings or slices of fuel tubeing at each end to stop the dogbone putting pressure near the end of the cup and make sure there is no play when dogbone is horizontal.
In all honesty the best thing to do is avoid this truck, sorry CEN but this wasnt your best effort (the MT2) and I like the improvements they did with the Magnum...
If at all possible save up your money and upgrade to a Buggy or Truggy...you will NEVER braek anything like a cup or dogbone...it just wont happen...you spend more on initial purchase but you RC experience will be a lot better (unless its some super crappy brand!! [X(])
Not trying to be smart or anything but I first got into RC with the MT2 and just about know everything there is to know about that truck and it was just a time and money pit (was good learning exp tho) but the best thing I ever did to my MT2 was to put in a .12 single speed and just drive it around the back yard and avoiding anything that resembles punishment!
They are an ok truck but just not quite good enough to be recommended by me.
Sorry if I went on a bit!
And congrats to Cen on the Matrix Truggy, by all accounts its a great truck (from what I have heard, not what I have experienced for myself).

Haven't been around here in a while but its nice to see some of you guys are still around.. My cen MT2 is sitting in half roller status in a box on the floor of my shop... for the same reasons as azzman, I don't run it anymore.. I modded the diff cups and the axles and started breaking gears.. Had enough of that.. I found 1/5 gas and never looked back.. I still have a few nitro's and electrics and run them when I can.. learned alot about the MT2, but also learned this was not one of Cens best efforts.. their other trucks and buggies are great however...I am leaning towards another 1/8 buggy and am really considering the Matrix... we will see....

How much do the Nx cups cost, as of right now I dont feel like throwing more money into my truck. Forgot to mention that the next day after this i started doing some speed runs in 2wd because i couldnt use all 4. And guess what[X(] the gears striped. No rocks or pebals in the gears and the mesh was fine. The motor mount was tight and wasnt slipping at all.. This is really pushing me past my limits for this truck.

Is that the Acme 1/16 nitro truck? Those 1/16 trucks are pretty gimmick IMO, I would have an electric one so at least I could run it indoors on rainy days.
They handle like crap offroad...
they just bounce around on any rough stuff...[
