Ah, just turned 33. Started at about 10 with paper route money. Had a javelin, fox, grass hopper, and was baptized in nitro with an integra vanning. Ah, the memories. To see the evolution of what was available before to what is available now is amazing. I still remember the first time I found out how hot a servo driven mechanical speed control can get after a run, lol. The days when 3-4 min of run time was considered good for an electric.

I read a thread like this over on the tank section of this site and thought the replies were really interesting. Sometimes it's nice to know what makes others interested in rc as 99% of the time the threads are technically related. My first toy that moved on it's own was a clockwork tank ( i was 6 and santa was skint), then onto battery cars. I always loved anything with an engine. Now I have time and the wherewithall I'll get what I can cope with. Started with nitro last year....steep learning curve....wow...37 years old.
