we managed to get out to our track last weekend even tho the weather sucked... pretty cold for us southern boys!! when its in the 40s we think its freezing! lol...
whats kinda cool about this vid is that my buddy is running THE AB/Clockworks mods p-3 28 in his BCE mugen, if ya didnt know its the highest hp dyoed to date! almost 2.4hp... for real, it was pretty fast! in my matrix im running a ceo mod 528xr that ive done some extra work to, its no slouch either... and a hyper st pro with a sts d21t, its his back up motor but runs well.
it was muddy clay, so it was really sticky and challenging to drive on since were used to a super slick track. i know my driving sucked...[
]
but we had a blast!
this is our private track, were redoing it right now, so its not quite finished... but fun!
have a look!

well aside from not turning well ive always liked it! been running it all summer..... but now it seems that my buddies have better handling truggies, i drove them, even built one of em. fresh off the build the hyper smoked my matrix around the track. i have to drive twice as good as him to keep up! thats getting old fast. ive spent months trying to get my matrix to turn like the others i run with, it aint happenin!
if you think your matrix turns great try a hyper!! its unbelievable... im not sayin the cen is bad, im saying the hyper is that good! the BCE mugen is in between the hyper and matrix when it comes to steering. no matter what ive done i still have to tap my brakes in a tight 180° turn to get the rear to rotate around, the hyper doesnt even need brakes, actually in that vid the guy driving the white hyper had zero brakes! none... but he could smoke the turns like i can only dream of... sad part is i ran that hyper for a weekend camp out and i was instantly faster with it.[
] that kinda chaps my ass if ya know what i mean? i built that hyper and the first day out i turned my fastest lap time ever, no fine tuning or anything? i was stoked and bummed at the same time! lol.. i shouldnt be able to drive a truggy for the first time and be faster than i am with my trusty steed!! ohhh the pain!! lol.. most everyone i run with has mugens and hypers, im in big trouble.
but ill be running a bce chassis soon, hopefully that will help... im not giving up on the matrix just yet, theres a few more things im gonna try.
if that doesnt work im just going to shoot myself! lol..
but for now im still loyal to my cen, if it lets me down again itll be chopped into lil bits! lol..(i said that loud enough for my truck to hear!)
but i hate to bad mouth my truck.... i will say it did great on our old track layout, there were no tight 180° turns. also its is a brute of a truck that loves huge air and going straight!
heres a vid of our old layout, the matrix was made for this!
in this vid im just running on one half or the other, but i was able to have my way with people on it! this was when i first started driving the matrix i had a 21 in it in this vid. then we tore this track down for the new one...[&o]

i drove hyper before but i am not impressed. Matrix just suits my driving style better
I am sure you jsut havent find the right setup for the track. I been there, i know how that feels. But once you have your truck dialed in, it will be all worth it.
Call andrew at CEN, just tell him what kind of track and what surface, he can figure out a setup for you in no time.

I couldn't help but notice that matrix didn't seem to have much trouble turning, In fact I saw alot of fish tailing...
I could be wrong, its been known to happen..[sm=thumbs_up.gif]
