Hi, i own one of the first original genesis's. I bought replacement tires for it off ebay to find the rim has a different size wheel hex, I'm guessing these tires must of come off a GST! The hex on the rim is bigger, am i correct to say this is 23mm? And what did my original genesis have 17mm? Also when looking for new wheel adapters I went to cen racing site and i looked up the axle + wheel adapters, i see gs021 for wheel adapters but i also see gs217. Now they look a bit different on the inner opening so i looked up wheel axle's to see if they are the same diameter on the old truck and new truck which i found gs217 and gs245. Anyways to make it less confusing. Will the gs217 wheel adapters fit on my older genesis .46? and if so will the "wheel Nut" off the old genesis fit also?

ok thanks, i dont care much for the blue nuts though id prefer my chromed ones. I know i might regret this in the future but i decided to try wheel adapter hex's and the tower hobbies tower terror truck has a hex adapter that has a 19mm inner diameter and 23 outter, you just slide it over the existing wheel hex then put the wheel over that, this will allow me to use my chrome wheel nuts. ( i originally thought the .46 genesis was 17 mm hex but after looking at rcuniverse's old review on it i found it to be 19mm). Anyways here's the catalog part in case anyone else wants to try it http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXNFS6&P=7 its made of plastic though so I'll see if they strip out, hopefully not.

Ok ill post up my findings so far, The hex adapters for the terror came in, They did not fit, they are a hair too big, they would slide over the 19mm wheel adapter but would not fit into the 23mm gst rims. I took it to work and one of the machinists shaved off a few thousands off each flat on the outter edge till it fit really snug but not loose. The inside adapter fits tight also. I am still running in a new piston and sleeve so i cant really give a full bashing or heavy throttle report yet but they feel like sturdy plastic and with no slop i dont believe theyre going to break, When i checked one of my old wheels and old wheel adapter they do have a tad bit of slop in them which im happy to get rid of with this setup. I will update as i get farther along.
