Default Lights on my GST...

It was to easy for the kid in me to pick up a set of lights for my truck. The kit came with 4 white head lights and 4 red tail lights. Since I put the roll cage on I'm not to sure I'll be able to easly put the lights in the body. I've been looking around for single light mounts that look like off road lights for roll bars on full size trucks. Can't find anything to save my life. Since I have 4 head lights I was thinking of putting 2 in the front bumper, some how. I want the other 2 in the single mounts, upside down so they shine out the front window to save them from roll overs. If I'm going to pay for them I'm looking for something adjustable.

The lights I bought are 5 mm, the mounts it came with are 5/16.

Has anyone mounted lights on there GST, or anyother truck for that matter, that I could get some ideas from?
Does anyone know where to find scale light mounts at?

I'm starting to get the idea I'm going to have to rig something up here. I could care less what it looks like as long as it's going to work.

These things are bright!

I don't want to spend $70 for a bumper. I still might get one but I'm looking into other options first. They also don't say what size lights fit in there.

I found a free way to make them work for now. The mounts it came with fit in the 4 larger slots on the bumpers. Took the bumpers off and screwed them down useing some lock tight and it works pretty good.

Man I dumbed my camera down by over half and I still have to do it a few pictures at a time...

{edit} wow you can see the truck sitting crooked with the weight of the cage and 1 blown back left shock...that's for tomarrow after the car show

Here's my homemade light kit on my Genesis LE. It's not the prettiest thing ever underneath, but it works. And since these pics, the doublesided tape has been replaced with epoxy.

Think I'm going to stick the battery and the on/off switch in a balloon to try and make it water tight. Right now it's to much of a pain running the wires to take it on and off all the time. I wanted to use the body but the roll cage will definitely be in the way of the lights.

any bumper the size of your truck will work if it can be mounted. i had an old radio shack hummer that had problems so i stripped it and took off what i could use...including the front and rear bumper.."with dremel" I cut the bumper just right so i could screw it to my traxxas stampede then incorperated the lights...slot car lights from the hobby store and leds from radio shack...and ran them directily to the aux on the reciever. Any old model..or even an 15 or so dollar model with a bumper on it with places to put LEDS wiill work

I'm going to have to keep an eye out for something on sale or clearance. I'm trying to be as cheap as I can. I can almost rebuild my GST with all the parts I picked up cheap, around $100 all togeather. Only things I don't have 2 of yet are the diff's, tranny and motor/clutch.
