I have broke in my genesis now and run a couple of tanks through it. I have no luck currently on its durability. Broke an a-arm a shock and also the turnbuckle or what I call the hub holder. Any advice, I do not feel that the truck is not great just with some faulty parts. I have heard great comments and feedbacks on this truck, and am wondering do I need to upgrade to alum. or go with stock plastic. Just to clarify this is not a bash session just a comments looking for some postive helpful advice from other Genesis fanatics. I am just excited to really have fun with this truck and want to get past the broken parts. Thanks to All for any comments and advice.

How did everything become broken? I've had some bad landings where all the weight came down on one wheel almost strait up and down and everything was fine. I'm stocked up on all the plastic parts along with the frame/skid plates. If you do go aluminum keep some thing plastic that's cheap to break. What part of the shock did you break?

Sounds like a good hit!! Been there... I hit a block wall going full speed within the first month of owning it!!! Broke 3 of the 4 upper arms, shattered the front uper crossmember, But the damned thing stayed running.. In fact, I was able shift t into reverse, back away from the wall and drive it another 100 feet back to the van with one rear tire flopping around until it locked and the truck drug it.
Anyway, I digress
Everything poo said to get, get it! not because its a cheap rig but because you WILL forget yourself and hit something else. Plastic is cheap to break while aluminum is expensive to bend!! And at close 17lbs you WILL bend the uppers, I never bent a lower aluminum arm just a 3mm hardened hinge pin!! 17lbs is brutal on anything going 40mph
