What Servo?

Good Call on the Hitec Servo, and yes the JR's are notorious for causing system wide glitching!!
Good job Derrick

I agree for steering but Im not going to use 2 5995tg.Theres just no way I need all that for throttle and brake. You guys can overkill yours but thats not necessary for me,not to mention a big waste of money. What do you guys do with your trucks that require so much torque on b/t?I ordered 1 5995TG and one 985MG.They should be here Monday or Tuesday.I contacted HITEC twice and there is NO 3year warranty on ANY of their servos. Its two years on every servo they make.I talked to two different people to be sure, doesnt matter if your servo cost $20.00 or$200.00,2 years is what it is wich is excellent(cen doesnt even cover components under warranty)So there it is.Sure is a lot to be learned in the servo game.Think I will just stick with HITEC to be safe and warranteed.I did run up on some deals on some JR servos but a reliable source says they do to much twiching and gliching,so I guess I will be on the HITEC bandwagon

Yeah the JR does do some twitching, it has to do with the radio system not liking them. I upgraded the radio to a spektrum and now I dont have the issue.
Isn't that amazing, yet they are the self proclaimed #1 in customer service. I have had a CEN Magnum for a little over two months now, and it has been sitting on the shelf for two of them, due to stripped gears, and they want me to pay for them as if its my fault and not the fault of the inferior parts they installed at the factory. They make what they call "upgrades" but they do not change the performance only the reliability issue. I feel they should replace the gears for free but I guess greed over rules what is the right thing to do.
cen doesnt even cover components under warranty

My MAGNUM is also on the shelf due to the same thing. Then cen wants me to pay for the fix of a problem that wasnt my fault. As much trouble as I had out of mine, they should give me a set of the FIX IT gears, but my $300.00 truck sits there because I got beat out of my money on that anyway you look at it.CEN needs to step up to the plate on that issue.Sorry for getting off subject but some of you guys know of my experience with cen and that magnum.I gotta go now because 93 struck a nerve on that and Im about to be very[:@],It happens everytime I start thinking about it.

I've been hunting for one of these servos for my truck for a while now, the only companies in the U.K have ALL quoted that the Hitec HS5995TG has been discontinued?
Before I through away money on their recomended replacement, I need to know if it's a good buy?
They've recomended the Hitec HS7995TG...

Cheers, this is what they quoted me...
Hi Robert,
"I have jus chased up the servo you mention with our suppliers and they advise it has now been discontinued. They advise the following is the closest they have in the Hi-Tec range.
Hitec HS7955TG Digital Titanium Gear Servo
Part No: HS7955TG £69.99"
I'm still not sure?!

I just installed one of these on my Matrix TR FRE, after going through a number of Skyion 144oz servos and a slew of hitec 645s. I finally ponied up and bought the best I could find... even though my LHS was pushing the new JRs.
anyways, the new coreless design of the 7955 is awesome. This thing has plenty of torque and is also really quiet. It also comes with a billet steering arm. For 120 bucks, you really cant beat it.
Oh... I'm using a 925MG for my throttle/brakes. Plenty of torque for that, and its faster than a 945.
