CEN guys: I bought the starter box for my Matrix you guys recommended but it doesn't reach my flywheel. is there a backplate that will enable me to clear the brakes and lower my engine?

Never mind. I dremeled out the slot below the flywheel. It was a good recommend on the starter box. When I accidentally stop the starter wheel, the 30A fuse blows on my battery. I haven't figured out how to fix that.

use this backplate and you can remove the spacers than sit between the engine and the mount

Precisely correct TR. There is also no modding required when putting on the backplate. Unless you want to keep the pull start, this is the best way to go.

Amazing, it fit perfect. You are a genius. I took out the spacers but my carb nob hits my brakes. Is there a fix for that?

I think all you can do is turn the carb knob a bit if that's possible. You can use RTV high temp seal to seal the backplate, but I didn't bother. As long as it's tight, there shouldn't be a problem.

if you worried about the seal use some lucky 7 to seal it up - it's a sealant that's been designed by nitro users to specifically handle the corrosive properties of nitro fuel. As far as hitting the brakes is concerned try what chrobar suggested (there is a small grub screw on the opposite side of the throttle knob). You can also try removing one of the rear brake pads (it works fine with a single setup). If this is needed, you may want to consider some advantage racing fibreglass discs or some xtreme racing cabonfibre ones as you will only need one of these front and rear.
