CEN GST Engine production changes
by wildstallion on Fri Mar 20, 2009 6:59 am
I have recently purchased a CEN GST, its comes with a NX76 Engine. However I am under the impression that CEN changed the production engine at some stage to a newer model NX7.7.
Can anyone elaborate on any major difference's if any please, much appreciated, thanks.

They did try to make it sound as if there were major changes made by saying things like,Easier To Tune,More Horsepower,All New,but in reality, the only thing that was changed is the color of the cooling head.Im not saying thats a bad thing because the NX-76 is a beast
Once you figure out how to properly tune one of these engines,WOW!The NX-76 is a very powerfull and reliable engine if you know what youre doing[8D],but a NX-76 is the same,no matter when it was made[X(]

Same Carb even mate? If they did make a change and improve tunning I suppose they would have had to change the carb?

I think there might be slight changes in the carb. I bought a carb from ebay and the o ring where the carb mounts on the engine is in a different place. The one i had the o ring was mounted on the very bottom in a groove and the one i got is up by the body of the carb (there is no groove on the bottom). I know that its not much but there might be small changes in the needles and seats too. Any one know which one is the new one?
