I dont see the point in doing that bud,the GST tranny is far better engineered than in the Savage plus theres a centre diff in the GST,i'd be inclined to get a new GST tranny from Jenny's RC or someone similar on ebay to be honest but thats just my opinion, others may differ...

toez71,
Good work! How does it run with the Savage tranny? I am pondering on whether or not to do this to my GSR 5.0. What center drive shafts will work?

thanx guys, no i havnt had a chance to run it yet,, jus fired it up in the driveway ,hopfully this weekend, as far as drive shafts ,heres what i did, i took the stock front shaft out of a monster GT and the output hub from the gt and it fit clean on the savage tranny, that took care of the front ,in the rear i had taken the gt rear output hub and took one of the gt axle shafts and mounted it in the gt out put hub and slid it rite in, i centered the tranny around the equal distance of these shafts and it spins true, the stock rear savage engine plate and lower chasis plate bolt to them selves and to the savage tranny so u cant go wrong there as far as lineing the engine and tranny and fit it rite in, the tank was relocated to the opposite side and bolted rite in, the servos for the steering are stock cen and i made uo a mount out of some angled alum and made up the duel steering servo setup, it can crank the steering in one spot now lol.. the thr/ brk servo gave me a problem lineing up so i was forced to run this on the outside of the chassis to work properly, thats it for now, ill let u guys no how she runs,,
