Toyhaus did the same thing to me....
Billed me and then I waited about 2 weeks and never got the order, so I emailed and they said that the parts were still on backorder...[:@]

I haven't had any issues with customRC cars, and I have made a lot of orders through them. THey always email me back asap and sometimes throw in some little goodies with the order:D
Never had any custom issues to canada wtiht hem.

Headrushhobbies has been alright too, but I don't care much for toyhaus.

My experiences so far
Toyhaus - fast shipment overseas but high prices on parts and shipping
CustomRCcars - good prices on parts and shipping (takes 10-20 days to get here which is normal) and they did mark the package as gift so no VAT
Headrushhobbies - good prices on parts and shipping but you have to inquire by e-mail for a lot of parts not on the website
