.46 break in
Im thinking of breaking the nemesis in with traxxas top fuel, which i have a good half gallon of left
then after its gone, grab some odonnel 25% or possibly 30%. good idea? bad? what would you guys recommend, duration between changing fuel etc, or should i just get 25% o'donell and break it in with that. thankz |
RE: .46 break in
I think I remember reading somewhere that the NX76 works best with 20%. On the Genesis that is.
Maybe 25% for your 'nemy. Just use a good brand and stick with it. Changing %'s and brands on an engine that's hard to tune in the first place will just make it frustrating for you. |
RE: .46 break in
It's a big engine, you won't need a high nitro content fuel to get serious power. Personally, I have had issues with both traxxas fuel and blue thunder fuel leaving nasty residue all over my engines and ruining one way bearings.
I would stick to 20% unless you are doing some serious racing. |
RE: .46 break in
Break the engine in with the fuel you intend to run in stick with it!!Longer engine life and no tuning issues. But if you must change %'s and maybe some brands, then do the break-in procedure over again using the same you intend to change to. Get the point?

RE: .46 break in
You do not have to re-breakin an engine when changing % or brand. You will need to retune it though. Set your needles back to factory and tune from there with the new fuel. But, if you know you only have a half gallon of something and you are gonna change, I would say get the new fuel now and breakin using that. use the old stuff on other cars til its gone.

RE: .46 break in
yeah- stick with the 25% right off the bat... a little after run oil or marvel wouldnt hurt.
