Default .46 break in

Im thinking of breaking the nemesis in with traxxas top fuel, which i have a good half gallon of left

then after its gone, grab some odonnel 25% or possibly 30%.

good idea? bad?

what would you guys recommend, duration between changing fuel etc,

or should i just get 25% o'donell and break it in with that.

thankz

I think I remember reading somewhere that the NX76 works best with 20%. On the Genesis that is.
Maybe 25% for your 'nemy.
Just use a good brand and stick with it. Changing %'s and brands on an engine that's hard to tune in the first place will just make it frustrating for you.

It's a big engine, you won't need a high nitro content fuel to get serious power. Personally, I have had issues with both traxxas fuel and blue thunder fuel leaving nasty residue all over my engines and ruining one way bearings.
I would stick to 20% unless you are doing some serious racing.

Break the engine in with the fuel you intend to run in stick with it!!Longer engine life and no tuning issues. But if you must change %'s and maybe some brands, then do the break-in procedure over again using the same you intend to change to. Get the point?

You do not have to re-breakin an engine when changing % or brand. You will need to retune it though. Set your needles back to factory and tune from there with the new fuel. But, if you know you only have a half gallon of something and you are gonna change, I would say get the new fuel now and breakin using that. use the old stuff on other cars til its gone.
