Default Norm Page & "Trash"

Does anyone remember a gentleman named Norm Page, who flew his own design named "Trash"? His home was Chicago & he competed in the era of Phil Kraft. Thanks.

You will find reference to Mr. Page and 'Mach One' (or was it Phoenix?) all through these pages. You will also see reference to Phil Kraft and his 'Kwik Fly', the third version of which he once referred to as 'Orange Trash' (Orange painted model). However I do not think that you will find the latter sobriquet attached to Mr. Pages creation. Perhaps you have your question misquoted?

Hi,

Some info of Norm Page (and his Mach 1) is here:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_99..._1/key_/tm.htm

I remember I have seen a picture of Norm Page with a plane other then his Mach 1, I'm sure it was before Mach 1 era. I think it was in Model Airplane News beginning of 1970th. I will se if I can find the picture (can take a while).

SHVentus is correct. The development sequence seems to have been: Trash, Avenger, Mach1.

Picture from RCM November 1968.

Hi,

Trash seems like a "cute" plane. Was it any plans published?

Avenger - any picture, any plans?

Bo,

To my knowledge no plans were ever published for the Trash or the Avenger although the latter was produced as a kit for a short time by Wing Mfg.

Picture from RCM October 1969.

I have pictures (in our family albums) of Norm & "Trash 3 & Trash 5". I was perplexed why such beautiful planes had the name TRASH boldly displayed on them. Norm said that his wife would often say to him "get that trash outta here", so he named them TRASH.

Anyone know whatever happened to Norm? He was such a great guy & superb pilot. We used to go up to the flying field nearly every weekend during the summers. It was wonderful to watch him fly. Thanks.

SHVentus, I don't suppose you'd be interested in scanning and posting them?

Tom,

I'd be happy to post them, but the photos are a few islands & 200 miles away at my parents. I'm on the Big Island & my mom is on Oahu. Next time I'm over there (rarely), I'll borrow them.

RonMcCormick,

I see that you are in Joliet. I grew up in Lockport. Go Porters.

Texaco or Ruan? They pumped $$$ into the school systems. I'm a LTHS 69 grad. My father was the principal at Reed GS & my mom taught at LTHS East. My brother & family still live in the area - small town southwest of Joliet. Small world.

Great. Thanks SHVentus. Just whenever you get around to it.
