Default LOOKING FOR TIPORARE TEMPLATES

Hey Everyone,

I am still in the process of gathering info to start my Tipo build. You guys have been awesome as far as giving me build articles, manuals and ideas. Does any one happen to have some templates for the plywood parts?? Specifically I am looking for the firewall and bulkheads. I have a glass fuse (720 version), and a set of plans for a built up fuse so Iknow those templates will not work. Im thinking, in the absence of templates that perhaps Icould use some sort of wire to bend around the inside of the fuse where the FW will go? If anyone has done that fill me me in on how it worked.

Thanks for the Help!

Josh

Default RE: LOOKING FOR TIPORARE TEMPLATES

the way i have made firewall templates for glass fuselages is to make a template of the outside of the fuse in the right spot then cut it about the thickness of the glass smaller, then sand it to fit after some trial and error.
i usually use cardboard but the wire idea souds reasonable, then cut a cardbard firewall to test fit before going with wood
