Looking for information on any ARF Pattern ships for 50cc gas engine. I have seen several nice new pattern designs using YS-170 etc but they are too small for what I am looking for. I have an Aeroworks Extra 260 that flies nice on the 50cc but looking for an airframe that has longer moments. I still have a YS -160DZ from the old days but am not going back to nitro.

Actually, if you took my Aries07 fuse and made the stabs a fraction bigger, added a foot to each wingtip, shoehorned a Zenoah G-62 into the front of it an ballasted it up to 22lbs you'd have your own big "Curare" too. I think the Zenoah would pound the fuse to matchsticks in a very short time though :-)
How time flies, the sticker on the side says the maiden was 26 Febrary 1994. Seemed a huge plane back then (~150% Curare 61), but it's only 2.25m long and 2.5m span.
If I had to build another, target would be a DA-50 or equivalent, about 14-17lb with retracts, (maybe add 8 inches in length) and it would make a nice sport ship but definitely not a precision F3A type plane. Enlarging a modern design would be better. A 4m Astrall-XX (or equivalent) has been on the list of things to build for a long time now..
