Just a little additional info. Days Inn has been the traditional choice of RC pilots in Cullman. It's rate is usually lowest. A hot breakfast is included. It's right off I-65, so it's convenient and easy to find.
For those who have flown off our asphalt runway in the past. FORGET IT! It's been gone for almost 5 years. We fly of 1/2" bermuda grass. Easy to take off from and great for sticking that landing that's just a bit too hot. Our site is wide open. We're over 500 feet in both directions from the ends of the runway to trees that do not interfere with landings. It's over 800 feet in front with a slope that will actually allow you to fly below your feet if necessary. I know this from experience.
As a club, we have a long history of pattern participation and contest hosting. This is a first CPA contest. We're looking forward to a fine turn out and the opportunity to build into the future with CPA.

The wife and I are having to do 24/7 care for her 86 year old Dad after open heart, and my days away are down to just hours at the time, but just part of life.
