Building a Tiporare .40
Indeed it´s a medium-great classic…<o></o>
You could see the maiden flight experience in Spanish here: <o></o>

David, it flies well, maybe I need more time to check the flying qualities. The first and second flight were without mayor problems and the third ended up with a gear up landing (the nose wheel stuck). <o></o>
The model now is tail heavy, I don’t know yet if it is due to incidence or CG (I take your advice about how to adjust the CG). But it´s very stable once trimmed and tracks very well.<o></o>
I didn’t try any stall or fly with 1/3 of throttle except for landing. I was worried about the landing gear operation and if the wing is strong enough without any ply reinforcement in the root, so all the fly were very smooth with one looping and a couple of rolls.<o></o>
The engine is and old .40SF that came from a mayor accident in its previous model. It worked well but you are right about the sound.<o></o>
Kenneth, the mix between the L/G and elevator was too much, 33% and now it´s at 10%. But need more flights and solve the CG/incidence problem first.<o></o>
Will continue…<o></o>
