Early 70's pattern ship from South Africa (Rhodesia). Looks like an easy build.

Plan is still available from RCM plans.

This is classic design and construction for the era, very nice. I remember reading about it back in the day. Does anyone know how the name is pronounced it looks like Bell-Air but I know that is wrong. Also what is the wing area? thanks

I wouldn't have had that thought... even though I once owned a Rimfire and would like to have another. But now that you mention it, there is a slight resemblance.

Great observation, RFJ! I guess I have an affinity for this design, as I just cut the foam stab cores for Rich Brand's Tiger Panzer. The wings are next, as soon as I can locate some 2" thick foam locally.
I suppose this means that the Belaire is next on the building board, as I did print out the plan (link in original message).

Rich Brand - one of my favourite designers from that era. Little more info here. Compare the Belaire with the Thunderpanzer in post #9.

My Feedback: (1)
Of course there is a color picture of that unique pattern classic plane and his designer / Pilot...
Second picture was processed to gain back original colors.
I took those pics from a german forum. Classic pattern seems to come bacl alive a little here, too.
