Remember the old Classic Pattern Days? Remember Jim Graham & RC City?
Well Jim has re-open RC City based in Naples FL and has most of his original molds back now!
Here is the list of planes he will start producing as he will be laying up glass next week and delivery for end of March. The kits will include the fuselage, cores, plans, and wing tube if required. The glass work will have as a standard feature of carbon fiber re-enforcement.
LA-1 , LA-2 , Jekyll 60 , Summit 120 , Desire 60
Jim has offered a $ 50.00 discount for all current paid CPA members. To contact Jim for information or place an order his email is [email protected] or 239-821-4195. Jim will have a website soon.

The molds have not been in hiding the business has so to speak. Jim wanted me to come to work for him back in the eighties after the 88 TOC as I was involved with Steve Strickers team and had built his fiberglass Ultimates. Steve sold the rights to Jim for the semi kits and right after I decided not to change jobs and move west; Jim moved the business from Cal. to Tn. and took Jerry Budd with him. Jim then sold off the business in the nineties to a husband and wife team who ran it for a few years and by then the type of pattern planes changed and more ARF's took over the market and I think they sold it as well (not sure). Now we are here as Classic pattern flyers wanting our youth and the past great looking and flying planes back ( I stopped flying pattern back in 98, when the fixed gear style of fat fuse planes started taking off ). I learned a few weeks ago that Jim had just aquired the business back and promised not to say anything until it was made public. Now supply and demand will drive how long this lasts.

I don't think he'll have a problem with demand. More and more people are interested in classic pattern and the way it was. There is a new generation out there.
