Ah, okay, I understand.
The fact that it expands means that it is not suitable for the ABS parts as they need a full surface contact.
I will now make some ABS test pieces and see what foam safe CA does, and I will also buy some acetone to see if that also works.

I don't know if I can buy an MEK type adhesive here, but plastic model cement of some type should be available in a model shop near you (if they sell plastic models). We have something called Duco cement and Wal-Mart sells a generic equivalent. I believe Graupner sold the appropriate adhesive. Straight acetone will soften/dissolve the plastic, but it will never harden - just stay a gooey mess.

I will really first have to do some testing with different types of glue.
Coming weekend when I have time I will see if my local paint shop still has some MEK (I believe it is not allowed to be used anymore here in the Netherlands)
