I am happy to see very knowledgable Atlanta 60 posting again and it got me thinking about other favorites we are missing. Have we heard from Crankpin recently? Anyone else missing?

Yup! Dave Wood is sorely missed.

Aurora60 pops in from time to time. Crank must be foolin' around with planes that you can sit in...

Crank just got a new P-8 and is contemplating on building it according to our last discussion on 12-10-2013.
He has his big Yak ready to maiden I believe this coming week.
We have talked about getting together for maiden flight.

Aurora 60 got pretty bent over the CPA reps and the bashing he got over on RCgroups and how some of the guys both here and there just decided to go with what what was being said instead of goin to the horses' mouth. Last time I talked with him he said he was done with Classic pattern and persuing other interests.

Maybe if you guys email him or PM him he'll have a change of heart.

Wow..Not aware of all that but I know I owe him an e-mail so I'm gonna do that fight now...

To be honest I've been bummed out over a chick and sorta let it get to me too much...That plus work (traveling) has sorta interfered with what should be important...I missed a good opportunity to meet Aurora and I regret it, he was passing right by my house...

I'm hoping that I can be a better person and forget about the dang girl...Hopefully this year I can remember what's important and do better..

Hey Chuck,

Nice to see ya posting again.

Not that it will make you feel better but i fall head over heals for ever girl that pays attention to me and every time it ended I pined away. Some longer than others. Only conclusionI have is it only hurts if your in the game. You could sideline yourself and never get hurt.

I once had a girlfriend who was mad at me and called me by someone else's name in the heat of passion to try and piss me off.. I just smiled at her and told her "hey call me what everyouwant if it makes it feel better. Heck. I was one on top not the other guy. She's the one that ended up getting mad.

Hey, how did your Atlanta splash project turn out? Get a chance to finish it.

Chuck,

Dive in head first... As they say. It's what makes life worth living.

I just learned from the show my daughter is watching that there are many many fish in the sea; one more beautiful than the other.

Well, David's cafe is open for breakfast so I better get back to my customers!

David

PS I suppose even these activities are classic pattern.

Chuck,
Been there, done that. Don't lose sight of what is real, and what is good. The affairs of the heart belong to the realm of the irrational, but a classic pattern airplane is true day after day. I hope to see you posting and contributing again. Your input is valued here.

Raindave was quite a history buff and had an extensive vintage plans collection.

That's almost an understatement.

Dave and Ray are (were... ) the de facto CP global library. Ray can produce just about any article brought to light and Dave, well, simply seemed to have every plan ever drawn.

I hope history hasn't swallowed him up whole as he has almost vanished from these forums. Hopefully he'll get the modeling bug again soon and I we can again enjoy his contributions. He's an outstanding builder to boot!

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one that recognizes this.
