Default Final Basement Excavation

I spent a bunch of time the last couple of days excavating the last of the basement stuff. Thought I'd post the final installment of my junk for your viewing pleasure.

First is the unfinished fuse and stab of my last 2-meter pattern project. It hasn't been touched in years - this is as far as I got before I hang up my transmitter in 2000. It's a Zimpro Viper 202 2-meter pattern plane that looks a lot like a Giles 202. The stab is shown laying on top of the wings tucked safely in their shucks. The stab was supposed to be ready to mount in the fuse, but after giving it the "eye test" - can my old eyes see it - I decided the answer is a resounding NO! It will be stripped and recovered in my traditional red, white, and metallic blue design. One thing we discovered many years ago is that white wingtips make the plane 1000% easier to see on final, especially in low light conditions. Apparently the dummy who Monokoted the stab forgot that.

The next three pix show the powerplant for the 202. It's a Bully - nee Webra - 145 with a Bolly muffler. It swings an APC 16x14 with great authority. I also have a disassembled Bully 120LS that's awaiting a new set of bearings. There's a Bolly tuned pipe to go with it - all I need is a header. Notice the pump and trademark Bully purple anodized dual plug head. I use 2 OS "F" plugs and they seem to last forever. It was mounted inverted in my pattern plane and never had a flame-out. The nice thing about this engine is that you don't need muffler/pipe pressure because the pump does all the work. You just leave the vent line open to the air.

Last but not least, the YS 61AR and Hatori pipe from my Escape. I left the filter and check valve on the fuel lines to remind my which is which. This thing is an absolute beast .

Well, that's the last of the junk - I mean treasures - from my basement. Enjoy.

SRT, I'm pretty sure I have one of these. Bearings probably need replacing but otherwise, should be good to go...
