Hey Vin,
I shipped a built airplane once with a buddy that drove an 18 wheeler. He put it in his sleeper and called the guy when he got to NJ.
Ya might check around some of the truck terminals and see if ya can fine somebody that will deliver it for you ..
Worked for me !!

Hey Dave. My first option was UPS, as I had shipped with them in the past. Now, for the two boxes, one for the wing, and one for the fuse, it has approached $350.00, same with FedEx. Some of the guys here, suggested www.forwardair.com I called them, they gave a phone quote of approx. $130.00 for both parcels. Miami to Dayton Ohio. That is good. What I am trying to do now, is save myself some time. To package the completely built fuse, with all equipment aboard, then the wing separately, is very time consuming. For me, it would even be easier to drive the three hours across the state, pay a guys gas even, I would say, give him $200.00, and have it safely delivered close to where it has to go. If I don't get someone by April 1, the Forward Air it is. I have to drive to Miami to do this. Thanks for the suggestion.

Vince,
I like road trips... but it is 39 hours total drive time and 2400 miles... Wish you gave it to one of the FL guys to deliver to Perry Ga last weekend, then it would have been easy to drive it to OH.
If you could find a way to get it to Knoxville, I might be able to get it Ohio for you..

Thanks Scott. I missed the boat on Perry, had it in my mind for the next weekend, senior moment
No hurry here, I am going to start boxing it next week, soon as I get some projects done around the ranch here, and another house getting ready to sell. I am working now on getting some existing planes in the air, especially the Focus Sport. Since I changed the fuel system on the DZ110, to the 115 fuel system, starts and runs like a Ferarri. Keep you posted, I still may luck out. Have to watch who carrys it though, don't need anyone to run off with it.
